Recording Artist, Actor, and Filmmaker Amir Royale Releases New Certified Banger “For A Day”
Mr. Disney Dilla Blesses 2022 With A Deep Hit Dance Single
From Amir Royale
“For A Day” is an introspective and cautionary tale about the rocky roads of romantic and platonic relationships. Maybe it was my fault. Maybe it was yours. Maybe speaking about the past plurally is far healthier than individualizing regrets and sins. But, maybe that isn’t true? I’ve learned a lot over the years that the moment you feel love for anything, anyone, or yourself — losing that feeling is catastrophic. You HAVE to cherish the moments you have with those you love and remember them fondly ‘til your dying day. You stop being human when you don’t tell your story. You stop being a part of history when you don’t tell the stories of others. I don’t want to see the people I’ve loved from miles away or sitting right next to me fade completely out of existence. We all are the building blocks to each other's memories — and I want us to remember the past and predict our futures without edits or questions. I like dancing to the same songs I cry to. I guess sometimes — to be honest — the truth is the sweetest antidote; even if you only have 24 hours to taste it.

Press Release
NEW YORK -- February 14, 2021 -- Amir Royale, a versatile recording artist, actor, filmmaker, and entertainment entrepreneur, released Monday, “For A Day,” a hip hop /dance record, about cherishing moments and past relationships with people important to your individual story.

In the record, Royale shares some of his deepest life lessons while rapping over a bouncy instrumental, exploring his perspective through the lens of real past romantic and platonic experiences with special people in his life. The verses explain the importance of holding on to what’s real – the feeling of love – because while people tend to come and go in life, their impact never disappears.
“I’ve learned a lot over the years that the moment you feel love for anything, anyone or yourself — losing that feeling is catastrophic,” Royale said. “You HAVE to cherish the moments you have with those you love and remember them fondly ‘til your dying day.”
Royale wrote the lyrics to “For A Day” in 2020, a time when people lost physical touch with one another during the COVID-19 pandemic. Then late last year, Royale’s grandfather, Robert Oliver Jr., passed away. The record’s beautiful meaning of cherishing moments and relationships was amplified by these experiences.
“When you’ve had moments with somebody, keeping those in a lockbox is very important because you can always jump back to it,” Royale said. “People that have been a part of my life are still part of my story.”
In a display of his full range of musical genius and wizardry, Royale performed every role in the creation of “For A Day,” including composing, producing, mixing, mastering, engineering, and performing the record. The song was mixed and mastered at Splendor Palaces Screen & SoundWorks in Royale’s hometown of Saint Albans in Queens, NY.
The cover artwork for “For A Day'' was imagined and realized by Royale, featuring imagery by Carli Neustadt and based on photography by Aja Eden Adam of Adam of Eden Photography. It was designed by SPECTRUMM Animations.
The release of “For A Day” follows the thought-provoking masterpiece “Paradox” in Spring 2021, and a flurry of releases in 2020, such as Amir Royale’s debut horror film Les Poissons Morts and the “hip-pop” infused electronic hit “Turnin You Out” (which was a collaboration with fellow polymath and songwriter/producer DOMENICO). Prior to that, Royale re-released his debut mixtape Magnificent, released his short film drama Please Stop Calling Me, and acted in the comedy sitcom podcast NEXT STOP. In 2020, Royale also dropped the soulful hip-hop record “Hold it Down (Freestyle),” and the emotional single “People Say.”
